Thiessen signs with Pistons
The Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Matt Thiessen.
Thiessen, 17, started 18 games with the Rink Hockey Academy Midget Prep team during the 2016-17 season, posting a record of 12-6-0 with a 2.93 goals-against average and a .917 save-percentage, along with one shutout.
The Altona, Man. product also registered a 2-0-0 record during the post-season, along with a 2.50 goals-against average and a .919 save-percentage.
Thiessen made his MJHL debut on March 1 of last season, stopping 27-of-30 shots between the pipes for the Pistons in a 3-1 loss to Neepawa.
Jack Lenchyshyn signs with Pistons
The Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Jack Lenchyshyn.
Lenchyshyn, 17, recorded 25 points (3-22-25) in 30 games with the Rink Hockey Academy Midget Prep team during the 2016-17 season.
The 6-foot defenceman and product of Steinbach, Man. appeared in four post-season contests with Rink, registering four penalty minutes.
Lenchyshyn made his MJHL debut this past season, appearing in five regular season games and seven playoff games with the Pistons.

Nine RHA Bantam Prep Student Athletes had their names called in today's Western Hockey League Bantam Draft that took place in Calgary, Alberta.
Twelve RHA Bantam Prep Student-Athletes named to the Hockey Manitoba POE Top-40 Camp
Hockey Manitoba named it's Top 40 for the upcoming POE Camp May 4-7. The RHA players invited include Jakob Brook, Pearce Gare, Dante Giannuzzi, Evan Herman, Seth Jarvis, Nikulas Jerris, Anthony Kehrer, Carson Lambos, Carter Loney, Sequoia Swan, Ty Thorpe & Noah Wagner.
