RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg, a leading institution in hockey development, is thrilled to announce a significant expansion of its team offerings, solidifying its continued commitment to fostering the excellence and growth in student-athletes. The expansion marks an important moment in the academies’ history as they take the next step in providing the most comprehensive and in-depth academy experience.
As part of this exciting announcement, RINK Hockey Academy will be introducing a team at each the U15 and U17 level. This addition will allow more hockey players the ability to take part in the education-based hockey experience and enables them to stay within our academy uninterrupted until they move on to the next stage in their academic and hockey career.
“The expansion of team offerings is a testament to RINK Hockey Academy’s ongoing dedication to producing well-rounded individuals who not only excel in the sport of hockey but also emerge as leaders in their communities.”
Brad Rice, CEO of The RINK Hockey Corp & Governor of RHA Winnipeg
As teams head into the second half of the year, RHA Winnipeg begins its scouting and recruiting heading into the 2024-25 season. It is the goal of the organization to begin attracting top talent from across the country with aims of building out two new competitive teams at the U15 and U17 level.
“RINK Hockey Academy prides itself in offering families and athletes in Manitoba a choice in their future of hockey development within the Hockey Canada Accredited School system. This expansion opens up the door for more opptunites locally for student-athletes from grade 8-12."
Ryan Cyr, President of RHA Winnipeg
Player’s practice and train on and off the ice four to five times weekly depending on their game schedule, with games taking place in a weekend or showcase tournament format. An RHA student-athlete will be on the ice more, with more skill development, than any other player in Manitoba.
